Number One Computers was one of the first computer shops in Jersey - and the only one of those original outlets still operating. Called Number One Computers because its first retail shop was at 1 Francis Street - long since demolished and replaced with a bank - the Company moved into its present premises at de Carteret House in 1987..
We were set up as a 'one-stop shop' - if it's to do with computers, we aim to stock it. We used to sell Sinclair, Commodore, Amstrad, Atari, and lots of other computers you would not now recognize. Customers wanting to know more about these pioneers of computing should visit our retro section, where we have brand new software and accessories for sale.
We design and build our own computers, and carry Intel (Vista) based computers. Please note that Vista is a registered business name owned by the Company since 1986. This range uses Microsoft Windows®. Prices for these Windows® based machines start at £399.99, and you have the security of knowing that we as a Company have been supplying computers to Jersey and the other Channel Islands since 1980. Check out our complete range by going to the computer section, where you will also be able to download a pricelist and order form. We are usually able to supply any model from stock. We can also quote for any bespoke computer. Laptops can in general be supplied in two working days, and are purchased to order to give you the best possible price.
We stock a good range of educational programmes. Budget offerings from Focus, and Sold Out are carried. We think we've got the largest range in Jersey - come along and check it out! We are certainly confident that no one touches us for flight and train simulations, and if we have not got it, we can usually get it!
We carry a huge range of inkjet cartridges, although we do admit to having been caught out on occasion. Again, if it is not in stock, we can get it. Along with the cartridges, we carry paper, and magnetic and optical media.
We are known for carrying the less than common cables and accessories, as well as the more usual.
Repairs (we've done over 6,300) are handled in our own workshop.
